Braking- Quality Lead

Job Description

Tenneco completed the acquisition of Federal-Mogul, a leading global supplier to original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket. The DRiV division of Tenneco combined the strengths of Tenneco, Federal-Mogul Motorparts and Öhlins Racing to become one of the largest multi-line, multi-brand aftermarket suppliers and one of the largest global original equipment (OE) ride performance and braking suppliers to the aftermarket, light vehicle and commercial vehicle customers. DRiV contributes ~$6B annually to Tenneco’s global revenue. 

 

Responsible for assigning work and providing leadership and directions to employees in assigned area(s).


Specific Duties:
Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with company procedures, expectations and work instructions.

Duties and tasks include, but are not limited to:
* Provide direction to employees in assigned area(s).
* Train operators per requirements of training and competency matrices.
* Lead problem solving effort whenever cell production deviates from the standard.
* Fill in for operators when they are absent or unavailable.
* Monitor production and record result on visual status board hourly.
* Begin escalation process whenever a non-standard condition (production, scrap, inventory, etc.) arises.
* Complete all reports and paperwork as required.
* Manage workflow to ensure production goals are met.
* Ensure equipment issues/repair needs are reported and/or addressed in a timely manner.
* Understand and be able to perform all jobs within assigned area as needed.
* Provide direction to assigned employees with regard to all Quality & Safety procedures.

Follow all policies, procedures and work instructions related to quality and product standards.

Monitor parts during process and alert Lead or Supervisor to any product concerns or non-conformances.

Follow all safety procedures and requirements. Report accidents, near misses and/or unsafe conditions immediately to the
Lead or Supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned.
