This position is responsible for providing IT support to the Smyrna facility.  The position may be based in Smyrna, TN and reports directly to the IT Director -Distribution & Logistics of the company.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of Warehouse Automation best-practice system designs, configuration options and integration options with our SAP ERP and Manhattan WMS systems.
  • SwissLog/Autostore Robotic Picking Systems
  • Impact Automation Conveyor Systems
  • TSW Conveyor Systems
  • KNAPP Robotic Picking Systems
  • Work as a project team member demonstrating initiative, ownership, a positive attitude, and knowledge sharing with other colleagues.
  • Perform Service, Incident, and Problem Management functions.
  • Take self-directed lead in analyzing system incident reports, performing root-cause analysis, assessing alternatives, and implementing a solution.
  • Provide functional expertise in designing, testing, and implementing simple to complex Warehouse Automation applications as required to support business needs.
  • Manage common configuration issues and system updates based on evolving business requirements and process changes.
  • Provide end-user system training and troubleshooting training as required.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for application support processes and implement changes based on business needs.
  • Business Relations Management – Act as partner to the IT Business Partner in partnering with business teams requesting Warehouse Automation solutions.  This entails eliciting and gathering requirements, scoping projects, and providing status updates to the business teams on IT activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

  • 2+ years Warehouse Automation experience preferably with the Autostore platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting of Warehouse Automation solutions including debugging issues on Linux/Windows Servers
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, specifically: listening to customer needs, restating those needs, and documenting your work.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum Methodology.  Experience with traditional project methodologies with emphasis on testing and documentation standards.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan own tasks and estimate level of effort for assigned tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with global colleagues and work in a distributed team environment.
  • Demonstrated project coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with various functional areas and meet specified deadlines.
  • Ability to learn and integrate new technologies.

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent Engineering or Business Degree.
  • Experience in implementation of robotic systems, print & apply solutions preferred but not required.
  • Experience on SOTI device management for RF scanners preferred but not required.

 

Skills

 

  • Knowledge of Manhattan WMOS and Automated Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit business requirements and processes and translate them into effective solutions.
