Position Summary:

This position will be a liaison between North America DC Quality Manager and Skokie DC's working with Skokie DC's to implement quality improvement process to help reduce fines and customer dissatisfaction (COPQ).  Responsible for identifying, tracking and reporting Quality KPI's.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Promote quality achievement and process improvement throughout the distribution center
  • Manage and maintain quality focused standard operating procedures and reports
  • Validate and issuance of customer claims
  • Analyze, develop, and implement reporting tools; root cause analysis and pareto claims
  • Develop and implement quality improvement processes (plan do check act)
  • Maintaining operational and quality reports
  • Fine reduction on cost of poor quality (COPQ)
  • Aligns and coordinates cross functional organizations (manufacturing, packaging, quality, and distribution)
  • Identifies & track key performance indicators
  • Reporting and presenting DC quality performance to cross functional teams
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications - Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of operations experience in a manufacturing/warehouse/distribution center environment preferred
  • Experience in warehousing and warehouse management systems.
  • Strong systems knowledge of Oracle, SAP, Manhattan WMS, or SAP WM
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of distribution technology: RF guns and Voice picking units
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Cross functional coordinating skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong quality documentation experience
  • Previous hands-on quality auditing experience
