We are looking for a Plant EHS Manager for our plant in Rybnik, Poland.

Position will cover responsibilities for occupational health, safety, environmental and sustainability issues.




  • Performs risk assessments.
  • Develops procedures, rules and actions to mitigate all risks, in compliance with Polish law.
  • Develops prevention and protection measures as required by the legislation.
  • Develops emergency response procedures.
  • Verifies individual and collective protective equipment.
  • Investigates accidents, incidents, near misses and implements corrective and preventative measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Trains and educates employees on EHS rules and procedures.
  • Is able to inform all employees about:
    • Health and safety risks related to the company’s activities;
    • Specific risks related to each employee’s activity and related safety rules and procedures;
    • First aid, firefighting and evacuation procedures;
    • The names of the company doctor and of all employees appointed for the prevention and protection service (firefighters, first responders…);
    • The correct use of dangerous substance and preparations, according to safety data sheets and to Italian legislation;
    • All prevention and protection measures adopted by the company.
  • Ensures Tenneco reporting and escalation process is always followed.
  • Monitors EHS performance, trend analysis and the implementation of improvements actions at the site.
  • Establishes standards for housekeeping, machine guarding, ergonomics, etc.
  • Oversees environmental initiatives such as waste management, pollution prevention, air quality, etc to minimize the site’s environmental impact.
  • Raises awareness of environmental issues, energy consumption, resources and hazardous waste.
  • Fully manages P-SIF process

Academic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degrees in engineering, safety science or related discipline.

Work experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in EHS role required.  Automotive industry or manufacturing experience preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.

  • Advanced English and Fluent Polish.
