We are currently looking for an Account Manager. The ultimate responsibility of this position is to Support all business activities to drive customer satisfaction and focus. Defend, increase sustainably and profitably Tenneco’s market share while enhancing the profitability of the existing business.

Reporting

To help position Tenneco Performance Solutions Braking for continued success in the US region and to ensure strategic and operational discipline and excellence as it continues its development trajectory, the company is seeking to recruit an experienced OE/OES (Original Equipment and Service) Light Vehicle (LV) sales / account manager with demonstratable experience in international tier-1 supplier organizations.

The Account Manager OE/OES LV will have responsibility for his/her customer(s). S/he will report directly to the Sales Director Braking US, Tenneco Performance Solutions Braking.

Important individual tasks:

  • Define and implement the customer business strategy for the OE/OES markets.
  • Realize options for further value creation across OE.
  • Plan and deliver the customer 5 year’s revenue plan.
  • Support benchmark analysis and monitor competitor’s development.
  • Control/manage strategic price negotiations and customer’s conditions.
  • Communicate with customers on different levels.
  • Collaboration with the other departments (i.e. engineering, program management, quality, operations, …).

 

Challenges:

  • Manage two key stake holders the car manufacturer and the tier 1 supplier in a format wherein business is 50% nominated by the car manufacturers.
  • Support a company-wide transformation to change the sales approach into a more business/profit orientated model versus a turnover orientated model.

Required experience / hard skills

 

  • Proven experience in a complex, international OE organization (>2 years)
  • Track record of driving performance with positive outcomes.
  • High potential with the ability and desire to develop further within the sales organization.
  • Educational degree in engineering or business management,
  • Languages: English
  • Proficient Windows office tools.
