This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of capital markets strategy and execution related to our M&A and other financing activities and reports directly to the VP Treasury & Treasurer of the company.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing capital markets strategies to support the financing needs of our M&A and other financing initiatives.
  • Supporting the evaluation and analysis of potential acquisition targets, including financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and strategic fit assessment.
  • Structuring and negotiating financing solutions for M&A and other transactions, including debt, equity, and hybrid financing options.
  • Managing relationships with lenders, investors, and financial advisors to secure financing and optimize transaction terms.
  • Collaborating with legal, accounting, and other internal and external stakeholders to execute M&A and other transactions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Providing guidance and support to senior leadership on capital allocation decisions, risk management, and integration planning.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and risks related to M&A and other financing and capital markets activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards related to M&A and other transactions and capital markets activities.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or related field; Advanced Degree preferred

Experience: a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.

Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of M&A and financing principles, financial modeling, and valuation techniques.
  • Demonstrated track record of executing successful M&A and other financing transactions and raising capital in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and reporting standards related to M&A and other financing transactions and capital markets activities.
