We are looking for a Plant Human Resources Manager. This person is responsible for Plant Human Resource and EH&S activities to fulfill company objectives and employee needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

 

  • Ensure all HR processes are effectively implemented within the plant, with the purpose of leading the teams to select the best, valuing internal development of people and internal mobility, with special focus on talents, in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team
  • Develop internal talent management initiatives that will create a solid foundation for succession planning, people engagement and retention
  • Labor planning to ensure the proper staffing through recruitment, internal moves, training or flexing actions
  • Support the management team in delivering and effectively communicating initiatives that engage people in the plant at the individual and collective levels.
  • Partnering with plant management, facilitate improved labor relation activities to improve the overall culture within the plant.
  • Facilitates hourly and salaried onboarding
  • Manage all HR objectives and maintain budgets, setting goals and objectives with plant manager, determining actions within policies required to meet goals, managing the HR representative.
  • Drive the relations with Unions to continuous improvement in the day-by-day activity, supporting the management in this objective
  • Leads in negotiation strategy preparation, proposal development, contingency planning, and other negotiation requirements
  • Assists plant management and supervisors in the administration of the union contract and other labor relation policies consistent with corporate policies and the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Lead the workforce planning activity to forecast labor needs and other market variables impacting labor recruitment and retention.
  • Responsible for the hourly training activities. Work with managers in the development and execution of salaried development plans in alignment with the Tenneco People Model.
  • Partner with EH&S in the development of Environmental, Health, and Safety policies in alignment with Tenneco policies.

 

 

 

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred. PHR/SPHR SHRM-CP or equivalent a plus

 

 

 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

 

 

 

  • 7 to 10 years experience in human resources/labor relations preferred
  • Experience in an automotive manufacturing facility preferred
  • Union experience preferred
  • Familiar with labor and employment laws and regulations
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Facilitation and people development skills
