MRS - Group Leader

We are looking for a Group Leader to join our Tenneco Manufacturing Site in Ermua, Spain.

 

Reporting to the Area Manager/Production Manager, the Group Leader oversees and coordinates all production activities within the assigned area. The primary responsibilities include organizing and managing production processes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Your scope of responsibilities:

 

Environmental health & safety management

    • Lead safety initiatives by conducting regular safety meetings, risk assessments, and accident investigations.

    • Identify and eliminate potential hazards in the production line.

    • Act as the safety authority for the designated area during shifts.

    • Document safety incidents and implement preventive measures.

Quality management

    • Ensure production aligns with quality standards and procedures.

    • Guide team members in maintaining high-quality standards.

    • Address quality issues promptly and develop improvement plans.

    • Collaborate with departments to meet quality objectives.

Operation management

    • Plan and supervise team activities to meet production schedules.

    • Ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.

    • Coordinate resources for new product launches and problem resolution.

    • Assist in drafting production process documents and reports.

Materials & equipment management

    • Manage the issuance and recovery of production components.

    • Optimize the usage of materials and assist in inventory management.

    • Analyze inventory data discrepancies and contribute to improving accuracy.

    • Oversee equipment maintenance and management.

    • Coordinate improvements for equipment and tooling.

    • Assist in updating TPM checklists and propose equipment enhancements.

Continuous improvement

    • Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives and drive yearly improvement goals.

    • Develop and implement performance improvement plans.

    • Apply continuous improvement tools to enhance production processes.

Employee development

    • Plan and implement training programs for team members.

    • Provide feedback and support to foster teamwork and engagement.

    • Participate in the hiring process and coach Team Leaders.

    • Conduct in-house training for skill development.

 

What will make you successful

  • College degree or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of production management experience, preferably in the automotive industry.

  • Proficiency in lean production principles and MS Office.

  • Basic proficiency in English language.

  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interpret technical documents and perform routine reports.
