Application Engineer

Key responsibilities:
•    Organize Application DFMEA Reviews.
•    Design creation kick off – ECR (Engineering Change Request) creation and assignment.
•    Design approvals, including GPDM approvals.
•    Lead the DMR (Design Manufacturing Review) to come to a timely DMSO (Design Manufacturing Sign Off) sign off.
•    Prepare and present Technical Presentations towards Customer.
•    Attend technical customer meetings.
•    Technical Escalation towards Project team and within the Regional Engineering organization.
•    Gather Customer sign off for design, drawings, special characteristics and validation.
•    Lead calibration session preparation and debriefing.
•    Participate in the most important events of the project, like: design validation parts build, off tool off process build, customer visits and audits.
•    Cooperate with other members to ensure the project move forward smoothly by following TENPLUS procedure and release TENPLUS deliverables.

•    Create and release BOM (Bill of material)
•    Conversion of customer's technical input (standards/drawings etc.) to internal drawing requirements and DVP, PVP.
•    Track DV, PV progress, review DVP&R, PVP&R, and deliver accurately to clients
•    Release 2D drawings in system
•    Lead prototype build and ride work event
•    Create & update DVP, including release test request to test lab, track the tests progress
•    Gather client information and organize internal resources when failure occurs to plan a solution, track progress and maintain communication with the client until the failure is fully resolved.
•    Responding to routine customer technical related queries, communicating and following up on design changes caused by customers.
•    Solve the engineering issues during development
 

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering
•    Minimum 5 years in machinery or automotive industry, chassis related is preferred
•    Be familiar with new product development process for Tier 1 supplier that meet quality system requirement. Experience of working with EU/US is preferred
•    Know the quality system and be able to use tools, like IATF16949, APQP, 6Sigma, 8D
•    Fluent English in speaking and writing
•    Good communication skills and independent work ability. A positive attitude and sense of teamwork
