We are hiring a Senior Buyer based in Celaya, Guanajuato (Plant located at Ciudad industrial Celaya).

 

What will make you successful?

•         Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Technical discipline.

•         Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a strategic commodity buyer in Automotive Industry.

•         Availability to travel (USA).

•         Corporate or divisional supply chain management exposure.

•         Demonstrated cross-functional experience in purchasing and contract negotiations.

•         Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to communicate across various organizational levels.

•         Must be fluent in English.

•         Demonstrated ability to champion change and implement strategies to meet goals.

•         Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.

•         General purchasing systems experience, as well as adequate spreadsheet/Word/PowerPoint skills.

•         Functional understanding of BOM's, MRP, IATF 16949 & related automotive industry practices and standards.

•         Ability to interpret and communicate engineering drawings and specifications.

•         Technical familiarity with a range of materials and processes.

•         Customer service oriented; responsive to needs of internal customers & suppliers.

•         Availability to work from home at the beginning / In the coming months this person will work with mixed hybrid office/home or even office full time.

•         Experience in at least one or more of the following categories a plus: carbon and spring steel, plastic components, casting/forgings, and fasteners.

•         Experience using SAP.
