This is a unique opportunity to join an international company as a Quality Engineer for our plant in Carpi, Italy.

 

 

In this role you will assist the Quality Management in all activities related to the production of products.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborates in proposing and coordinating interventions to ensure Total Quality and its communication at all corporate levels and manage interventions to increase customer satisfaction at the lowest production cost
  • Analyze complaints received from customers to find definitive solutions to the problem Know, implement and enforce specific customer requirements (CSR)
  • Assists in proposing and managing the annual objectives, investments and budget for Quality Assurance and defining the Quality Improvement Plan every three years
  • Collaborates in reviewing and managing the application of all Quality System documentation  
  • Supervises activities related to the preparation / presentation of new products i.e. PPAP extension
  • Participate in APQP meetings, when appointed to the team, and drafting of PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, Control Instructions
  • Supervise internal analysis activities both in terms of periodic meetings and in terms of workshops (FMEA, Fishbone…)
  • Collaborates to develop and ensure the implementation of the Audit plan (system and process at suppliers and internally)
  • Collaborate in warranty management
  • Contribute to the definition of the quality requirements of the products during the production phases
  • Validation of new or modified processes and products
  • Collaborate in ensuring control, internal / external calibration of gauges or measuring equipment
  • Define periodic checks on products during the product design, development and production phases (Control Plan)
  • Contribute to the definition of the instruments and test machines necessary for process controls
  • Coordinate the activity of the Process Auditors, establish work priorities and related tasks
  • Collaborates in ensuring the correct management of non-conformities detected during the production process and the correct and timely management of the corporate FMTIPS system (Federal Mogul Techniques in Problem Solving)
  • Guarantee, in collaboration with R&D and Supplier Quality supervisor, the preparation of samples of new / modified products for the customer, within the established times
  • Collaborate in monitoring the performance of production processes through the appropriate indicators, remove and supervise actions for recovery and improvement

 

 

Required Skills

 

  • Academic requirements: degree in mechanical engineering, even three years
  • Work experience: 3/5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive sector
  • Language skills: good knowledge of English
  • IT skills:

 

- Windows environment and Office package

- Project management software

- Statistical software/data analysis (Minitab)

- Quality Core Tools (QSYS/APIS) support software Technical skills

- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 standards

- Auditor IATF 16949 (preferred)

- Quality Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA)

- Knowledge of layered process audits

- Knowledge of testing methods, sampling plans; - Problem solving (8D, A3)
