We are looking for a committed leader in the field of materials management and logistics who will take responsibility for managing and optimising key processes. In this role, you and your team will drive forward efficient materials supply, production planning and the further development of logistics concepts. In doing so, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of value and goods throughout the plant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Independently managing and developing his team
· Supporting the team in ensuring the timely procurement of all purchased parts, in close collaboration with the local purchasing department
· Organising and optimising production and production control, ensuring a consistent and reliable supply of materials in accordance with economic principles
· Drawing up and optimising the overall production plan based on current customer order data and material availability, with the help of your team
· Coordinating and monitoring the flow of value and goods
· Taking responsibility for the material stock across the entire plant and initiating appropriate measures to achieve stock targets
· Introduction of new or further development of existing procurement tools, scheduling procedures and logistics concepts
· Supplier evaluation based on logistical quality
· Expansion of the existing key performance indicator and forecasting system
· Determining and monitoring key performance indicators to assess the performance of internal logistics, particularly with regard to stock development and standard hours
· Developing concepts for and implementing cross-departmental logistics projects
· Assisting with the preparation, organisation and execution of stocktaking
· Acting as deputy to the Head of Logistics in their absence
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· A degree in business or engineering with a specialisation in materials management or logistics, or extensive experience in a similar role
· A goal-oriented, structured and independent approach to work
· Ability to manage staff, make decisions and assert oneself
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills
· Very good written and spoken English
· In-depth knowledge of SAP R/3 and MS Office
