About the position

As a Logistics Coordinator (m/f/d), you will manage production and materials planning and ensure a reliable supply to the production department. You will coordinate material flows, work closely with internal departments and suppliers, and respond flexibly to last-minute requests. In doing so, you will actively contribute to stock optimization and the further development of efficient logistics processes.

Hybrid setup: 4 days in the office, 1 day work from home

 

Languages: fluent German & English

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Production Planning / Scheduling:

  • Processing of customer orders (master orders, blanket orders, individual orders)
  • Developing and optimizing the overall production plan for individual, assigned areas based on the latest internal and external customer order data. This includes stock-optimized planning of quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily production volumes by revenue, customer, and unit
  • Entering planned orders into the SAP ERP system and continuously adjusting the plan following exception reports (rescheduling; increasing planned quantities or order smoothing according to scheduling procedures)
  • Creating production orders in the SAP ERP system and continuously tracking orders (technical completion, rescheduling, etc.)
  • Close and continuous coordination with production in your division regarding personnel and equipment availability, as well as with work planning for continuous process optimization
  • Operational management of production in response to short-notice customer requests

 

Material Planning / Scheduling:

  • Creation and distribution of material release orders from the SAP ERP system to the relevant suppliers, taking into account stock optimization / reduction
  • Daily review of parts availability in accordance with production planning via the SAP ERP system
  • Daily review and coordination with suppliers and production regarding parts critical to supply
  • Issuing reminders to suppliers and, if necessary, escalating issues in the event of impending supply bottlenecks
  • Development of supply scenarios with the supplier in the event of bottleneck situations
  • Coordination with suppliers in the event of capacity bottlenecks or shipping issues
  • Review of all relevant storage locations (inbound warehouse, production warehouse, external warehouse), including incoming goods inspection
  • If necessary, placing orders at the external warehouse and coordinating with logistics service providers

 

Local Purchasing:

  • Purchase requisitions for various replacement parts or new parts [PPAP+OTP] (direct) or office supplies (indirect)
  • Review of credit memos following retroactive price changes and price updates from suppliers
  • Invoice verification (associated approval documentation or requesting credit memos from suppliers)
  • Creation of new supply contracts based on the relevant NL template and their modification as requested by GSCM

 

Other tasks:

  • Stock take preparation and support during execution
  • Participation and support in audit preparation
  • Requisitioning of non-production materials required within the department
  • Supporting logistics management in the planning and execution of logistics projects, including stock optimization
  • Active participation in TVM improvement management

 

 Job Requirements

  • A degree in business administration, preferably with a focus on logistics, or a business apprenticeship, or extensive experience in a comparable position
  • Goal-oriented, structured, and independent work style
  • Interdisciplinary approach to work
  • Assertiveness, strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Good English skills
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP R/3 and MS Office
