We are looking for a Plant Controller for our Waupun, WI facility! The Plant Controller directs financial activities of an organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Participates in training to produce a quality product / services, uses preventative measures to ensure the customer requirements and Federal Mogul standards are met.
  • Comply with legal and other requirements to avoid injury and/or ill health to themselves and others.
  • Understands preventative measures and creates a safe and healthy environment by having the ability to identify potential emergency situations and reports all incidents to supervisor/ manager.
  • Adhere to the facility’s quality, environmental, health and safety policies that are identified by the Quality, Environmental Health and Safety Management systems.
  • Directly supervises employees in the financial, administrative, and information technology department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Responsible for the Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems. Ensuring that they are being implemented and managed effectively and that performance improvements are taking place within their departments.
  • Is responsible for and has authority to initiate action to prevent nonconformity’s, identify and record nonconformities, and formulate solutions and verify solutions for problems occurring during the production process. Works closely with all department managers in this regard.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and environmentally sound work environment and should report any non-compliance to the EPA/Safety Coordinator.
  • Establishes, or recommends to management, major economic objectives and policies for company.
  • Prepares reports, which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Experience with consolidation reporting.
  • Directs preparation of budgets.
  • Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
  • Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
  • Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
  • Contact individual for company's accounts.
  • Prepares reports required by FM Corporate or regulatory agencies.
  • Plans, coordinates and carries out the cost accounting function of the company with specific responsibilities in system compliance, cost analysis and accuracy of detail by performing the following duties.
  • Plan studies and collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
  • Analyzes data obtained and records results.
  • Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
  • Appraises and evaluates real property or equipment for sale, acquisition, or tax purposes.
  • Team Lead for SAP FI/CO (Finance/Controlling) modules of the Waupun business system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in finance / accounting from a four-year college or university; or 7 - 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

 

• Minimum of 7 - 10 years related experience; manufacturing experience preferred.

• Strong analytical, communication (written and oral), and organizational skills.

Proficient in MS Word and Excel

.• Previous experence with SAP preferred
