PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Responsibility for leading operati on of one or more plant value streams. Ensures a safe work environment,drive quality improvements, develop a qualifi ed workforce, reduce operating costs, inventories and leadti mes through conti nuous improvements. Oversee day-to-day acti viti es to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and annual expectations.
This position leads the plant value stream(s) in daily operati ons and continuous improvements.

Purpose
include but are not limited to: supply chain, production control, manufacturing priorities and coordination between all shifts in the value stream.

DUTIES INCLUDE

Ensuring and encouraging a safe working environment by promoti ng safety and environmentalcompliance with all safety rules and procedures

Aligning shift schedules to include work stati on assignments/rotati ons, employee vacati ons,employee breaks, training/coaching producti on line employees, and overti me assignments.

Create the basis for conti nuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring thatstandardized work and processes are followed, needed adjustments are implemented and thearea is compliant.

Instill and maintain a positi ve team atmosphere in the Value Stream(s); hold regular teammeeti ngs and assign team member tasks and coordinate support activities from departmentsoutside of the team.

Provide effective cross training for Value Stream employees and backups from other valuestreams to assure the conti nuous smooth running of the value stream.

Responsible for supervision and professional development of a group of up to 50 associates, continual improvement of productivity of the value stream

Recognizing where and when improvements are necessary, and initi ati ng theappropriate correcti ve acti on

Capacity planning for the Value Stream to ensure schedule att ainment andcustomer sati sfacti on

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree preferred
5 years' management or supervisory experience
Suffi cient background in accounti ng, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management andinventory control.
Demonstrated teamwork and teambuilding skills. Ability to assess and develop individual andteam skills and capabiliti es. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for challenges. Serve asmodel by promoti ng safety, new ideas and positi ve change.
Good writt en and verbal communicati on skills.
Preferred experience with Lean Manufacturing acti viti es.
