Production Control Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Directs, plans and organizes the company assets in order to execute the established production plan.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  1. Works with staff personnel in the determination of the processes, equipment, tools and methods to be used in the manufacturing of the plant's products.
  2. Identifies needs for changes of plant equipment and personnel and is responsible for the preparation of the production lines build rates.
  3. Assists in the development of management-labor relation policies and in the administration of the union contracts.
  4. Supports the scheduling of plant production facilities consistent with product requirements.
  5. Responsible for all customer service activities in the plant.
  6. Works with Value Stream Managers to allocate the plant’s resources to the areas of greatest need with the interests of the entire plant as the priority.
  7. Acts as the coordinator for all new business coming into the plant.
  8. Acts as a Manager for the Shipping area.
  9. Position has the responsibility and authority for quality commensurate with the accountabilities of the job description.
  10. Acts as the Coordinator for all improvements/changes in kan ban systems throughout the plant, and acts as a catalyst to drive system improvements.
  11. Manages the plant purchasing functions.

       
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:           B.S. degree preferably in Business Administration  
EXPERIENCE:         5 years experience in production management or related field.
SKILL:                     Good management skills.
