Position Purpose

Define, implement, and monitor the HSE policy (Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Energy) in line with strategic priorities. Ensure site compliance with French regulatory requirements, Tenneco Group standards, and ISO certifications (14001, 45001, 50001). Fluency in both French and English is mandatory.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • A highly experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager preferably with over 10 years of experience in developing, implementing and optimizing EHS programs within multinational organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in establishing safety culture, leading risk reduction initiatives and ensuring full compliance with regulations and Corporate requirements.
  • Highly proficient in risk assessment, with extensive experience in the analysis, evaluation and mitigation of machinery-related risks, including conformity with applicable directives, standards and safeguarding requirements. Capable of defining effective control measures.
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication and leadership abilities that support effective collaboration at all organizational levels. 
  • Strong experience in conducting audits, delivering training programs and maintaining the management system in compliance with ISO 14001 and  ISO 45001. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, monitor, and analyze performance indicators; propose improvement actions
  • Ensure environmental compliance
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement compliance actions
  • Apply HSE rules and requirements from authorities and the Group
  • Manage HSE documentation
  • Investigate workplace accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Perform HSE reporting to the Group database and regulatory authorities
  • Lead the CSSCT with the Site Director
  • Conduct internal audits and audits at other Tenneco sites
  • Train and raise employee awareness on risk prevention
  • Set objectives for team members and monitor achievement
  • Conduct performance reviews and professional development interviews
