Job Overview
The Pricing Governance Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, compliance and effectiveness of our pricing strategies and processes. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring pricing governance frameworks, policies and procedures. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytic skills, attention to detail and a deep understanding of pricing principles and regulatory requirements. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive pricing consistency, mitigate risks, and optimize revenue generation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Pricing Governance Frameworks:
- Establish and document comprehensive pricing governance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Ensure alignment of pricing practices with internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Develop and maintain a central repository of pricing documentation and resources.
- Monitor and Enforce Pricing Compliance:
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of pricing data and processes to identify potential risks and non-compliance.
- Investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies and exceptions.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track pricing governance effectiveness.
- Implement and maintain internal controls related to price changes and approvals.
- Analyze and Report on Pricing Performance:
- Analyze pricing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on pricing governance activities and performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders on pricing strategy and optimization.
- Track and report on price exceptions.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Partner with sales, marketing, finance, and legal teams to ensure consistent application of pricing policies.
- Provide training and support to employees on pricing governance procedures.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders on pricing-related issues.
- Work with IT to ensure pricing systems are aligned with governance policies.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to pricing.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance pricing governance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in projects related to pricing system implementations and enhancements.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in pricing, finance, or compliance roles.
- Experience in developing and implementing pricing governance frameworks and policies.
- Experience with pricing analysis and reporting.
- Experience with audit or internal control procedures.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of pricing principles and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of ERP and CRM systems related to pricing.
