This role is inherently cross-functional — you will work closely with Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Public Policy, Finance, Training and Tech Teams, Network Planning, and Executive Leadership to bring DRiV Products in North America to market. This job will require exceptional communication skills and having the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment with all levels of leadership, and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.

The ideal candidate must have a high degree of autonomy with the ability to navigate ambiguous problems, develop solutions with minimal guidance. This individual must be able to think strategically and will be proficient at influencing cross-functionally and deliver strong results. This individual must have the ability to dive deep in understanding the product and the competitive landscape and build best-in-class scalable products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a cross functional team of product managers responsible for multiple product lines within the US and Canada market
  • Accountable for product level P&L and profitability including identifying, executing and leading revenue and margin improvement projects
  • Develop, present and manage the product roadmap and go to market strategies including identifying and achieving aggressive launch timing
  • Plan and present product line reviews with minimal oversight to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify, scope, launch and manage lifecycle of adjacent and/or new product offerings to meet market needs
  • Drive sales pipeline and closure with commercial teams, both in workshop development and RFQ strategy
  • Create and communicate a product vision and strategy to achieve top-line and bottom-line growth
  • Lead organization to align around product requirements generated from available studies (market research, internal) and competitive analysis to identify customer needs
  • Understand and manage product/services life cycles, profitability, demand planning, new product/services development ideation and process management, competitive offerings
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to execute on product development, integration, and commercialization plans to deliver on business case
  • Demonstrate expertise at the product level, build partnerships with relevant stakeholder teams, and make trade-off decisions
  • Provide direction to cross-functional teams, including engineering teams and business functions, communicating the product roadmap and keeping everyone informed of updates and changes

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Master's degree or equivalent is preferred

Experience:

  • 12+ years of team management experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in marketing, product management, project management, engineering. Preferably in aftermarket automotive
  • Experience leading multiple product categories with annual sales greater than $250 million
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with stage gate product management
  • Experience communicating with C-suite level decision makers

 

Skills:

  • Excellent writing, presentation and overall communication skills
  • Strong collaboration ability with engineering, sales, marketing and operations
  • Ability to understand P&L, cost structures and margin drivers
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with customers and partners in commercializing new products
  • Proficiency with a CRM system and SAP
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, critical thinking, project management and time management skills
  • Develop product strategy aligning with roadmap including defining market opportunity, competitive landscape, and product KPI’s
  • Travel domestic and international up to 30%
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across executives is preferred
  • Comfortable being out-front within the organization and interacting at all levels with multinational teams is preferred
  • Passion for building products at scale with a focus on customer experience is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and deliver strong results is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability in benchmarking and assessing competitive landscape is preferred
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and overcome challenges with a high degree of flexibility and professionalism is preferred
