Executive Director – Marketing Communications, Brand Management, and Customer Training

Position Overview:

The Executive Director will lead the marketing (brand, customer, loyalty, digital), brand management, and customer training (Garage Guru's) teams within the aftermarket division. This role is crucial for driving brand awareness, enhancing market positioning, and ensuring high-quality training programs for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and branding strategies to enhance brand presence and market share.
    • Lead the internal customer training team (Garage Guru's) to deliver effective training programs that meet organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align marketing and training initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Team Management:
    • Oversee and mentor the marketing (Brand and Digital), and training teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
    • Promote cross-functional collaboration to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing and training efforts.
  • Brand Management
    • Drive brand positioning initiatives, including market research, competitive analysis,  and act as the brand ambassador leading individual brand guidelines to ensure adherence.

Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communications and channels   Understand how global brands are being executed locally within each regionManage corporate communications, public relations, and media relations to enhance brand reputation.

  • Marketing Execution:
    • Oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns, focusing on digital (display, social and search), and events, to drive customer and technician engagement and sales growth.
    • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively to achieve organizational goals
    • Oversee ROI analysis for marketing campaigns, customer marketing programs and loyalty programs

 

  • Training:
    • Lead the Garage Guru's team in designing and delivering training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our customers and technicians.  This will be supported within technical training, in-field shop execution, call center and online training
    • Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure cutting-edge training content and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in marketing, branding, or training roles, with at least 8 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of successful marketing and branding campaigns.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Familiarity with the automotive industry and aftermarket division is a plus.
