Tenneco has Excellent benefit options that starts upon date of hire, including a medical PPO and high deductible option, dental, vision (basic and enhanced option), life insurances, critical illness, pet insurance, life lock, and other benefit options. Also, there is a 401(k) with an enhanced contribution and matching program. Rate of pay for a Prodcution Trainer will start out at $29.87 per hour and progresses to $30.87. Plus night premium is $.50 for second and third shifts.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Production Trainer will take on a large part in the training process of new and existing employees. It is the duty of this position to ensure that new employees or those that are assuming a new position are following the training plan, completing all e-learning, and developing the competencies to be successful in their job. This will be accomplished with continuous mentoring, positive communication, and support. This position is responsible for contributing to a safe work place and minimizing negative environmental impacts by complying with the EHS policies, procedures, work instructions outlined in the EHSMS Training Assessment for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works one on one with employees in training, certified trainers, and supervisors to ensure that the training process is correctly executed and results in successful training.
- Creates new training, updates existing training, and eliminates content that is no longer relevant.
- Participates in Quality and EHS audits of the Training System as needed
- Becomes familiar with and learns all jobs and equipment on the floor.
- Train others and/or coordinates the training for any PIV equipment, tracks expiration, and maintains records of certifications.
- Uploads training records accurately and timely into the LMS.
- Maintains frequent contact with employees in training during the introductory period, to coordinate training, give feedback, and ensure the training plan is correctly executed.
- Is a point of contact to partner with the Supervisors to ensure the employee is learning, give feedback, and develop a remedial plan if the employee is not progressing.

- Promotes and actively supports a safety-first workplace culture, identifies and reports unsafe conditions, and stops work when necessary to ensure safety.
- All team members abide by the location’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policy which is enforced by the local leadership, complies with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established under its EHSMS, works towards achieving established objectives and targets, and conforms to procedures consistent with the ISO 14001 standard.
- All team members will understand all the environmental aspects of his/her job. An employee should report, and if necessary, stop any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure himself/herself.

- Identifies and addresses non-conforming work, materials, or procedures within a timely manner
- Each team member has the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality system and has the authority to stop further work on non-conforming suspect product until the deficiency or conditions have been corrected.
- Takes ownership of work by demonstrating accountability for results and being honest and transparent when things do not go to plan.
- Follows 5S principles by maintaining, cleaning, organizing, and improving the areas. Also, by making suggestions to get to the next level of excellence and then doing it again.

- With minimal supervision, ability to solve practical problems, interpret, resolve problems and issues using a variety of instructions for guides furnished in written, oral, diagram &/or schedule form.
