I. PURPOSE/SUMMARY
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks on all industrial machinery and equipment. This role is also responsible for troubleshooting and repairing any issues with the machines as they arise. They are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical / facilities equipment.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment as well as facility equipment
Diagnose and repair any malfunctions or breakdowns
Perform preventative maintenance as needed
Assist in developing maintenance plans
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities in electronic work order system
Ensure all safety regulations are followed
Respond to all maintenance related requests with a prompt, professional, courteous, and willingness to help demeanor
Must perform job with acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks, and applicable work instructions
Ability to be flexible in working traditional and non-traditional work hours, as required

IV. JOB SPECIFICATIONS
A. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED preferred.
B. SKILL/CHARACTERISTICS
Prefer 5 years of mechanical or electrical industrial experience.
Ability to differentiate colors and work safely
Ability to read and understand written materials
Ability to meet specified production standards
Ability to hear and understand oral instructions
Ability to make inspections of work performed to maintain quality standards
Ability to use hand tools and operate all Tool & Die equipment
Ability to work in difficult and hard to reach places
Ability to use all types of hand tools and to work with very close tolerances
Ability to read and comprehend electrical prints, hydraulic schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams
Ability to maneuver and adjust robot programming on primarily Fanuc and Motoman robots in a robot welding and material handling setting
Demonstrated understanding of machine electrical systems and basic troubleshooting procedures
Experience in the use of fork trucks and aerial lift devices required
Basic computer skills (email, use of tablet, Microsoft Office)
Advanced PLC experience preferred

B. NEED FOR DRIVING OR TRAVEL
On rare or infrequent occasions, the manager may assign a short trip to any one of several staff members.
Travel by auto or commercial carrier to attend meetings or conferences or visit customer or other plants.
Travel for additional external training may be required.
