We are seeking a Master Scheduler who will be responsible for creating a high level, long and medium term master production schedule, capacity and resources planning. Manage customer demand information. Analyze customer demand variation and escalate significant volume changes or if out of contracted capacity or within lead time. Respond to changes/issues. Work closely with the customer service team and manufacturing to ensure that customer demand is met 100 % on time. Establish and maintain FG / WIP inventory targets. Direct Supervisor for Production Schedulers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Select, motivate, train and ensure development of a competent Production Scheduling staff

· Manage customer demand at 6 month/3 month/monthly buckets and analyze variation for capacity conformance

· Communicate and address scheduling issues due to resource/material constraints

· Communicate critical materials issues to Materials Manager

· Customer demand review, variance tracking

· Support new customer part number set up

· Ensure Production Schedulers create detailed daily production schedules

· Ensure Production Schedulers establish and maintain ERP planning parameters

· Support compliance of ERP system adherence, system accuracy and integrity

· Establish, monitor and control department KPI’s that will effectively contribute to the overall manufacturing objectives, company goals and customer satisfaction

· Report production schedule attainment, root cause analysis and follow-up to action plans

· Participate in projects that drive continuous improvement

· Align with engineering changes, product balance outs and new product launches

· Align with Quality as required in resolving the disposition of non-conforming materials

· Monitor and ensure departmental personnel conform to company policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and cost efficient environment at all time

· Be familiar with and ethically operate in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and governmental procedures relative to reporting activities

 

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Finance Preferred; or BS/BA Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

· Advanced broad based supply chain management, process development and manufacturing operations knowledge

· Demonstrated knowledge of ERP Systems(SAP preferred)

· Demonstrated competency in the MS Office Suite of products

· Above average communication skills – oral, written and presentation skills

· Superior organization, planning, technical and Strategic thinking

· Superior process, analytical and problem solving skills – apply / execute formal techniques (e.g. Kepner Tregoe, 8D)

· Work experience and interfaces outside the organization with automotive customers

· Strong leadership skills – influence all facets of the organization, mentoring, coaching and teaching

· 4 to 7 years of applicable Customer Service experience; 2 to 3 years of formal leadership experience

· APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) CPIM certification desirable

· Automotive or JIT broadcast environment experience

· Applied lean manufacturing techniques including value stream mapping, leveling demand, Kanban calculations and techniques

· Experience with supply chain visibility tools

· Trained in Six Sigma methodology desirable

· Demonstrate minimum 5 years’ experience with ERP SAP System and creating long/medium term Master Schedules in SAP

· Ability to travel domestically – Minimal requirement
