General Summary

Assist in the finishing, assembly and packaging of products. Operate manufacturing equipment to produce component parts. Set up equipment as necessary. Might make minor adjustments to equipment in order to maintain production and quality standards. Notify the Operations Supervisor of any occurrences that negatively impact production. Adhere to safety, health, and environmental guidelines.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:




Primary Duty

  1. Set up and operate equipment to assist in the assembly of products. This includes trimming, welding, cutting, coating, heating, counting and packaging.

  1. Check equipment and tool settings against specifications before operation, making adjustments when necessary.

Position Summary:

 

Assemble sets of parts according to the bill of material at a fast pace to meet production goals.

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)

 

  • Starts assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift.
  • Set up bagging station according to the bill of material and perform changeovers for each job.
  • Assembles product parts by hand according to the Bill of Material.
  • Trouble shoot problems with production equipment and machinery.
  • Observes and removes faulty product parts from assembly line.
  • Ensures that all production deadlines are met.
  • Reports issues or problems with production to immediate Supervisor or Coach.
  • Perform bar code scan verification when necessary.
  • Packs up completed products and prepares them for shipment as needed.
  • Unloads, organizes, and stocks returned parts as needed.

 

Qualifications - Required Skills:

 

  • Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Physical requirements to include but not limited to:
    • Ability to lift up to 35lbs regularly.
    • Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.
    • Manual dexterity.
    • Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl.
