Job Title: Power Trucker (Forklift Driver)

Summary
Safely operates a powered industrial truck (forklift) to transport, load, unload, and stack materials and products throughout the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
Operates internal combustion or electric-powered forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack materials or products in a safe and efficient manner.
Transports and supplies production areas with materials as required.
Accurately enters and removes materials from the SAP inventory system as they are handled.
Follows all plant safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
Performs routine inspections and minor maintenance on assigned equipment.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must pass Powered Industrial Vehicle Exam or hold current re-certification.
- 1+ year(s) experience operating PIV in similar environment

Reads and interprets safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Writes routine reports and correspondence clearly and accurately.
Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of SAP inventory systems preferred; capable of basic data entry and material tracking.
Other Abilities:
Completes documentation such as tags, reports, and job cards accurately.
Demonstrates dependability, attention to detail, and commitment to workplace safety.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle License (or the skill and ability to obtain one) required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, talk, and hear. The employee frequently sits and occasionally stands, walks, reaches, stoops, kneels, or crouches.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate to loud noise levels.
- Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
EHS Requirements
- Safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and safety shoes are required on the manufacturing floor.
- Full welding gear must be worn when exposed to welding flash, heat, or sparks.
- Environmental aspects of the job include propane use in forklifts, exhaust exposure from gas-powered equipment, and disposal of paper and office materials in compliance with environmental standards.
