ABOUT THE ROLE
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for supporting material planning, inventory coordination, and cross-functional communication to help ensure the timely availability of materials for production and new program activity. This role works closely with purchasing, production, quality, engineering, and suppliers to help maintain material flow, resolve shortages, and support operational continuity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate the flow of materials to support production and program requirements

Monitor inventory levels and help address material shortages or supply risks

Partner with purchasing, production, and suppliers to support material availability on time

Track material status, delivery timing, and open issues requiring follow-up

Maintain accurate material-related records, reports, and system updates

Support new program launch activity by helping align materials readiness with timing requirements

Communicate material constraints, risks, and updates to relevant stakeholders

Assist with resolving discrepancies related to shipments, inventory, or material availability

Help ensure materials processes are followed in alignment with company procedures

Support continuous improvement efforts related to material coordination and planning
JOB REQUIREMENTS
-
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
-
Experience in materials coordination, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or a related field preferred

Strong organizational and follow-up skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP or materials planning systems preferred

Attention to detail and accuracy in data tracking and reporting

Ability to work effectively across functions and support changing business priorities

Commitment to safety, quality, and operational discipline

May be required to support time-sensitive material issues as needed
