Position Summary
The Head of Talent Acquisition will lead the end-to-end recruitment strategy and execution for India across all business units, plants, engineering centers, shared services, and corporate functions. The role is responsible for developing and implementing a robust talent acquisition strategy that supports business growth, strengthens employer branding, enhances candidate experience, and ensures the timely hiring of high-quality talent.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Strategy
- Develop and execute the India Talent Acquisition strategy aligned with business objectives and workforce planning.
- Build proactive talent pipelines for critical and leadership positions.
- Drive innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent across manufacturing, engineering, digital, finance, and corporate functions.
- Partner with business leaders to anticipate future talent requirements.
Recruitment Operations
- Lead end-to-end recruitment delivery across all India locations.
- Ensure achievement of hiring targets, time-to-fill, quality of hire, and cost-per-hire metrics.
- Drive recruitment process standardization and continuous improvement.
- Monitor recruitment effectiveness through dashboards and analytics.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a strategic talent advisor to business and HR leadership teams.
- Collaborate with plant leadership, functional leaders, and global talent acquisition teams.
- Ensure strong partnership with hiring managers to improve hiring outcomes and candidate experience.
Employer Branding & Talent Marketing
- Strengthen Tenneco's employer brand in the market.
- Lead campus hiring, apprenticeship, diversity hiring, and leadership hiring initiatives.
- Build partnerships with universities, technical institutes, and industry forums.
Leadership Hiring & Succession Support
- Lead recruitment for senior leadership and critical positions.
- Support succession planning by creating external talent pipelines for key roles.
- Ensure robust assessment and selection methodologies.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the India Talent Acquisition team.
- Establish performance standards and capability-building initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor regulations, and recruitment governance standards.
- Maintain recruitment data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Manage recruitment vendors, agencies, and outsourcing partners.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA/PGDM in Human Resources preferred.
- 12–18 years of progressive HR/Talent Acquisition experience.
- Experience leading Talent Acquisition for a large manufacturing, automotive, industrial, or engineering organization.
- Proven track record in leadership hiring, plant hiring, campus recruitment, and talent strategy.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
