Job Title: Chief Accounting Officer

Location: Gurgaon

Key responsibilities:

  • Work towards efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting
  • Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
  • Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives
  • Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings calls, management team, and rest of company
  • Manage finance personnel and oversee financial systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities

Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's long-term goals. This includes financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and managing the capital structure to support growth.

Financial Operations: Oversee all financial and accounting operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and audit functions, and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.

Cost and Performance Management: Drive cost optimization, capital efficiency, and working capital management specifically within the manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure robust internal controls, manage financial risks, and guarantee compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to the executive leadership and the board of directors. Also, communicate with external stakeholders like banks, investors, and auditors.

Strategic Support: Provide financial leadership and analysis for strategic initiatives, such as capital projects, plant expansions, mergers, and acquisitions.

Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to maintain high performance.

 

Required skills and experience:

  • 15 or more years of experience in executive leadership roles
  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
  • Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit

 

 

 

 

 

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance
  • Professional certification (Chartered Accountant)
  • International finance experience is an added advantage
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions and investor relations
  • Executive experience with SaaS business models and their associated revenue recognition
