Job Responsibilities
1. Design & Development of new equipment’s, fixtures & new processes in comparison with the global plants, and as needed for the upcoming business in concurrence with the application / product engineering team
2. Machine Spec finalisation in co-ordination with the CFT members
3. Provide feasibility study for new RFQ’s & manufacturing inputs for product costing
4. Workout Bill of Material, work centre creation, process routing
5. Prepare & release process flow, PFMEA, control plan, SOP, work instructions, visual std, check sheet etc
6. Identify local best equipment /machine manufacturers to meet the global machine standards interms of safety, technical spec,
7. Machine Installation, Commissioning and process validation in terms of safety, quality, tact time, capability etc.
8. Handover machines for mass production and provide necessary support to operations and maintenance beyond their capacity
9. Conduct VSM for all product lines to optimize the material flow, work flow, process flow, & improvise on best layout
10. Conduct Process Studies interm of work & cycle time to improve work ergonomics and productivity to derive the std time & hourly production targets
11. Conduct set up studies, apply SMED concepts to promote lean production system
12. Drive improvements in productivity, OAE, scrap & quality issues. Drive Digitalization concepts to improve operational efficiencies.
13. Continues improvement, waste reduction & process innovation to reduce the mfg cost
14. Support to Maintenance & operations team in resolving critical equipment failures to ensure series production & troubleshooting, also to initiate actions for machine upgradation as per Tenneco Machine Safety std
15. Drive Low-cost automation projects & global footprint migration projects
16. Participate in best practice & lesson learnt sessions with the GME team and deploy the best practices in the plant
17. Capacity mapping and allocation – benchmarking with the global best technology / process
18. CAPEX Management – Payback calculations, business case, tracking of CAPEX spend on monthly budget
