Tenneco Career Catalyst Programme
24-Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Tenneco Emission Control (Pty) Ltd – Port Elizabeth

 

 

Programme Overview - The Career Catalyst Programme (CAT Programme) is a structured 24-month developmental journey designed to shape the next generation of leaders. Guided by The Tenneco Way, the programme bridges the gap between education and employment by providing:

 

  • Year 1 (CAT 1 – Technical Foundation): Focus on business and operations fundamentals with technical exposure, and soft skills development.

 

  • Year 2 (CAT 2 – Applied Engineering): Project-based learning and specialisation in either Continuous Improvement, Production Engineering, Quality or Maintenance.

 

The programme combines Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), mentorship, and coaching with real-world project delivery to accelerate career readiness.

 

 

Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • NQF Level 6 qualification in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Academic average of 70% or above (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of Lean tools, problem-solving, and Kaizen principles
