We are looking for a Materials Engineer. Materials/Metallurgical Engineers are responsible to provide process engineering and analytical support to Materials Engineering – Global Valve Systems with a specific focus on properties of materials, including forging, joining, heat treatments, and coatings, and to perform failure and post-test analysis on the engine components following laboratory evaluations and customer or field returns.


Materials/Metallurgical Engineers are also responsible for leading or supporting research and development activities in both structural materials and coatings systems that advance the performance capabilities of emerging engine technologies.

  • Perform work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills in order to be able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization from the shop floor to the upper management
  • Knowledge of engine valves design/manufacturing if a plus
  • Exhibit working knowledge of major metalworking processes
  • Demonstrate ability to complete projects with supervisor guidance
  • Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor or management


EDUCATION: B.S. or higher in Materials/Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering or other related technical field.
