Plans, directs, and coordinates Manufacturing Support activities of a Tenneco designated Business Unit to maximize the strategic use of plant manufacturing and assists facilities in a broad spectrum of manufacturing support functions.
TECHNICAL:
Knowledge of the specific principles and procedures of plant operations, including but not limited to supply chain management, launch management, quality/quality systems and lean.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Acts as a key liaison between the global manufacturing locations and the VP/Business Director, providing manufacturing support guidance and strategy for all business locations within assigned business unit.
- Oversees Supply Chain Management activities at each location assigned to the business unit. Coordinates these activities in order to provide direction and support that will improve the overall efficiency within each facility and among the locations within the business unit. This coordination is facilitated by working with the Plant Production Controls Managers, Materials Managers, Plant Managers and any other necessary functions within the facility.
- Works with VP/Business Director and other key staff member to develop and facilitate manufacturing strategies for assigned business unit.
- Works as a key liaison between the global manufacturing locations and the VP/Business Director, providing strategies and coordination associated with the Business Unit’s customer launch activities and requirements.
- Works with Plant Mangers and other plant quality resources in order to provide support and direction to plant and business unit quality issues, including internal and external quality concerns.
- On occasion, may also provide support on delivery, lean and other plant manufacturing activities.
- Works with VP/Business Director and plant staff in order to implement and coordinate corrective action plans for the assigned area of responsibilities.
- Must have excellent troubleshooting skills in order to address concerns and improve current systems associated with the above activities.
- Must have ability to travel approximately 30% - 50%.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
