JOEM Key Account Manager (Sales)

Make sales calls on selected key accounts, both Japanese OEM and Tier 1 & 2 supplier levels.
Make sales calls on customer contacts that are strategic for core business.  This includes all core strategic product initiatives, tube, hose, cable, wireharness and all applications in ICE, HEV and PHEV.
Promote sales of product line by solicitation at the Design Engineering level focused on Japanese nationals with limited English skills and local engineers.
Product presentations to Engineering, Purchasing, and Materials Departments.
Build sales volume of existing products (Core) and search for new opportunities on design variations or new products (ICE, HEV, PHEV) utilizing our textile or thermoplastic technology.
Support sales effort by providing samples, data, pricing, and product application information.
Participates in product/marketing strategies, trade shows & new product development.
Communicate and coordinate sales efforts with offices in Japan.
Cross department communication internally with Customer Service, Quality, Manufacturing, Product Engineering, and Finance.
 
B.S. degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering preferred.
 
At least 5 years of experience working with and calling on Japanese accounts.
Japanese language skills a plus
Sales experience with the Automotive Industry both at an OEM and Tier Level a must.  Sales experience in Automotive ICE, HEV, PHEV market, preferred.
Experience working with strategic planning, product positioning, competitive analysis, and revenue improvement required.
Must be proactive, innovative and a self starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to solve customer problems.
Must be able to travel up to 45% of the time.
