GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for performing the engine test – related duties requested of Technical Services. The Tech, Engineering Or Test, Mfg/Ind Eng is also responsible for providing support that meets our customer’s requirements.

EDUCATION: Associates Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE: Strong working knowledge of gas and diesel engines, instrumentation and measurement equipment; facilities and machinery maintenance skills. 0-2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Operate dynamometers and related test equipment, including flow, temperature and pressure instrumentation, weighing and measurement tools, instruments, and computer cycling/data acquisition systems. Also maintain test engine logs.
• Facility maintenance and housekeeping within the lab.
• Assemble and disassemble test engines according to standard procedures.
• Completely service test engines including troubleshooting.
• Install engines in dynamometer cells, making necessary modifications, mounting brackets, mechanical and electrical connections.
• Completely operate dynamometer engines by means of the dynamometer console, performing necessary test schedules according to standard procedures.
• Operate electronic equipment related to engine testing, such as cell instrumentation, computer-based cycling/data acquisition systems, etc.
• Measure engine bores, valves, guides and other such components and record data.
• Have first-line responsibility for proper conduct of engine tests.
• Author, revise, and update Work Instructions or Procedures as appropriate.
• Perform all duties according to a team concept and utilizing proper interpersonal relationships to achieve departmental mission.
• Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor.
