KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines, ensuring machine accuracy, reliability, minimum downtime, and effective preventive and breakdown maintenance
• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of CNC machines.
• Carry out spindle overhauling, bearing replacement, and precision alignment.
• Inspect, repair, and replace ball screws and LM guides.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.  Perform machine geometry, alignment, backlash correction, and accuracy restoration.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and vibration analysis for recurring failures.
• Implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve machine reliability.
• Coordinate with electrical teams for cross-functional troubleshooting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Expert knowledge of CNC machine mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in spindle dismantling, overhaul, bearing replacement, and precision alignment.Proficient in ball screw and linear motion (LM) guide inspection, repair, and replacement.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and technical specifications.Knowledge of machine geometry, alignment, and accuracy restoration techniques.
• Familiarity with preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance methodologies
• Diagnostic & Problem-Solving SkillsStrong root cause analysis (RCA) capabilities for machine failures and accuracy-related issues.Expertise in vibration analysis, backlash correction, and precision measurement techniques.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and controls to support cross-functional troubleshooting.
• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 8 yrs exp
