Qualifications: B.E/ Diploma – Engineering (any specialization, preferred Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Safety)

Key Responsibilities of Environment Health and Safety Manager at Site


  • System Development & Compliance
  • Lead the creation and execution of the EHS-Management System
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory safety requirements
  • Review EHS systems for effectiveness and continuous improvement
  •  
  • Culture & Employee Engagement
  • Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and committees.
  • Conduct monthly Safety Committee meetings and EHS promotional events
  • Foster a strong safety culture through active engagement and training
  •  
  • Audits, Reviews & Reporting
  • Conduct internal audits and management reviews
  • Maintain EHS-IS systems and report Management Information System (MIS) data
  • Manage plant-level EHS audits and legal compliance tracking
  •  
  • Risk & Incident Management
  • Handle incident reporting, investigation, and closure
  • Define risk assessments and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Issue safety violation tickets following zero-tolerance policy
  •  
  • Operational Oversight
  • Oversee permit to work systems for non-routine work activities
  • Address critical EHS concerns with urgency and alignment
  • Support contractor management and ensure contractor EHS compliance
  •  
  • Monitoring & Health Programs
  • Organize environmental, work zone monitoring tests and monitor health checkups of employees
  • Execute mock drills, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions

  • Maintain records in line with ISO-14001:2015 and ISO-45001:2018 standards

  • Manage customer queries related to EHS issues
