ABOUT THE ROLE

To apply Tenneco standard manufacturing concept design to new programs.

To lead MET team in Japan to control capex by driving CU.

To support new program flawless launch from MET function.

To facilitate the Lessons Learned / BBPs shared from other plants.

To develop the BBPs to support MFG cost down and share in APAC level.

To bridge Japan MET team with CN plants MET for new standard discussion, BBPs sharing, and support each other on new programs flawless launch.

To develop the capability of the whole MET team in Japan.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the MFG quotation for new RFQ, check the quality of MFG design for new programs
  • Be responsible for the whole capex plan to track the progress
  • Lead the team to max the current capacity in new program design
  • Coach the MET team for standard, mfg rules, new technology, CTQ etc understanding and application
  • Lead the team to develop the BBPs to support the operation cost down
  • Lead the team to work with other functions to develop the cross-function BBPs
  • Lead the team to support engineering team for DFM analysis on NTI program
  • Lead the team to do DFM on new programs and keep alignment with engineering team
  • Organize some training, workshop etc to develop the MET team and set up the succession plan

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering
  • 3-5 years experience in process engineering at a manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge of Lean/APQP/Sig Sigma(Green Belt or above) and their application
  • Experience in welding and assembly process
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel / Word / Power Point)
  • Self Starter and result oriented
  • Excellent communication skill in English and Japanese (Business level English)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including travel and attending conference calls at night
  • Multiple business trips per month
  • Working experience with foreign companies/countries
