ABOUT THE ROLE

Know very well on the welding & assembling technology ( ARC or Laser, or Both)

To be responsible for manufacturing design for new program

To execute Tenneco standard / mfg rule during the mfg design and program launch

To develop the BBPs standing on MET view to support manufacturing cost down

To keep close communication with Engineering for manufacturing feasibility study on new program

To keep communication with CN MET team for supporting each other on MET activities

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute Tenneco standard on program
  • Be responsible for detail mfg design for new program including capacity analysis, process flow, production layout, CTQ on process definition, machine type, fixture design concept, the SOW definition of the whole process. Review with supplier for SOW understanding and tracking the progress in supplier for machine, fixture, tooling manufacturing
  • Learn and understand customer specification in Japan (mainly Kubota)
  • Understand mfg rules and apply them through DFM on specific program
  • Work with TJTC for mfg feasibility study / DFM and give the suggestion / solutions for the yellow & red items
  • Work with TJTC for VAVE programs
  • Understand the knowledge of fixture / tooling design, make the whole process matched during the whole chain
  • Support SQE for CTQ on components definition and gauge concept design
  • Develop BBP standing on MET view to support operation cost saving
  • Work with cross function team for more BBPs application in plant
  • Participate APAC MET regular technical meeting to learn and share some lessons learn / BBPs

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in welding and assembly process
  • 3-5 years experience in process engineering at a manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge of Lean/APQP/Sig Sigma(Green Belt or above) and their application
  • Excellent communication skill in English and Japanese (Business level English)
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel / Word / Power Point)
  • Self Starter and result oriented
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including travel and attending conference calls at night
  • Multiple business trips per month
  • Working experience with foreign companies/countries
