The Training & Talent Development Coordinator is the operational engine behind Tenneco University (TennU) & the Global Talent Development Program (GTDP). This role ensures flawless execution of global leadership development programs, regional summits & other events that shape Tenneco’s future leaders.
Working in a high-visibility space, the Coordinator manages multiple priorities with precision, discipline & adaptability — enabling the Manager of Organization Development & Learning (Americas) to focus on strategy, launches & enterprise impact. This role requires someone who thrives under intensity, holds themselves to exacting standards & can deliver consistently in a fast-moving, global environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Training Coordination & Delivery
- Own the planning and execution for the various levels of Tenneco University in the USA. This includes programs for First Time Leaders, Plant Leadership Development & Senior Leader Executive Development in partnership with the MSU Broad College of Business.
- Support the planning and execution of Tenneco University: Global Campus in coordination with our Regional Talent Manager & with University Partners in India & China.
- Support the administration of global/regional meetings (≥ 250 participants) & VPGM capstone (≥70) annually.
- Partner with executives, trainers, external faculty & vendors to ensure every session is delivered with readiness & polish.
- Manage training calendars, invitations, communications, materials, attendance & follow-up reporting.
- Support learning systems (LMS/HRIS) to track completion, compliance, and impact.
- Balance multiple high-stakes events simultaneously, adjusting quickly when priorities shift.
- Event Operations & Administration

- Coordinate logistics end-to-end: venues, travel, catering, branding, tech, materials & on-site execution.
- Serve as the point of contact for executive admins, ensuring leaders are prepped & supported when delivering training.
- Manage reporting, compliance & participant surveys to capture impact.
- Keep training & Talent Profile documentation audit-ready with zero tolerance for errors.
- Global Talent Development Program (GTDP)

- Support the full-cycle coordination of GTDP, including candidate reviews, assessments, learning coach assignments & networking events.
- Track participant progress, executive profiles & feedback with accuracy.
- Build & maintain external partnerships with universities, colleges & talent organizations as needed.
- Promote programs internally & externally in partnership with Comms Team by adhering to their brand standards, deadlines & guidance.
- Talent Operations & Continuous Improvement

- Anticipate needs, streamline processes & create templates/frameworks that enable TennU to scale.
- Collect & analyze data to improve program effectiveness & engagement.
- Contribute to talent development forums, alumni networks & knowledge-sharing spaces to sustain impact beyond the classroom.
- Support organizational efficiency & change readiness initiatives as the company evolves.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, Event Management, Communications, or related field.
Experience: 2–4 years’ experience in training coordination, corporate events, or talent program administration.
Skills:
- (Experience coordinating enterprise-wide leadership programs or early-career rotational initiatives.
- Comfort managing high-visibility events where expectations are uncompromising.
- Vendor management & contract negotiation experience.
- Strong data analysis & reporting skills to measure program ROI & improvement.
