ABOUT THE ROLE

At Tenneco, we don’t hire passively and we don’t settle for average. In this role, you will drive talent acquisition with urgency, discipline, and a relentless focus on outcomes. You will partner closely with hiring managers and HR to understand talent needs, build smart recruiting strategies, and deliver high-quality talent that moves the business forward.

 

This role is about creating momentum, building strong pipelines, and executing a hiring process that is fast, rigorous, and candidate focused.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with hiring managers and HR to understand talent needs, align priorities, and build recruiting strategies that deliver results.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for assigned openings including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate management, and offer support.
  • Build proactive sourcing strategies and talent pipelines to strengthen speed, quality, and consistency across hiring.
  • Drive a strong candidate experience through clear communication, timely    follow-up, and credible representation of Tenneco’s brand and culture.
  • Manage requisitions and candidate activity within the applicant tracking system, ensuring accurate workflow management.
  • Collaborate with hiring teams to review progress, address challenges, and keep searches moving efficiently.
  • Use recruiting data, pipeline insight, and market feedback to identify trends, solve problems faster, and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Recommend and support process improvements that simplify work, remove friction, and increase organizational velocity.
  • Develop strong knowledge of Tenneco’s business, talent priorities, and workforce needs so recruiting efforts stay tightly aligned with the organization’s direction.
  • Represent Tenneco in the market as a trusted, high-energy employer brand partner who can attract talent and build confidence with stakeholders.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
  • Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruiting across multiple openings, priorities, and stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing talent, building pipelines, and driving hiring activity with speed and discipline.
  • Experience working within an applicant tracking system and maintaining strong process accuracy and organization. Experience with sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter or Indeed is preferred.
  • Ability to use recruiting data and market insights to monitor progress, solve problems, and improve performance.

 

  • Strong communication and partnership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, work effectively across levels of the organization, and present updates and recommendations clearly.
  • Strong ownership mindset, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to execution.
  • Experience supporting recruiting in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive environment is preferred.
