The Supply Chain Data Analyst will serve as a critical member of the global operating system and continuous improvement team (OS&CI), transforming complex supply chain data into actionable insights that drive operational excellence across our global manufacturing network. This role supports strategic initiatives spanning demand/supply planning, logistics optimization, inventory management, and continuous improvement programs across EMEA, the Americas, APAC, and India.
Reporting to the Executive Director of SCM OS&CI, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including plant operations, regional supply chain directors, executive leadership, and information technology, to deliver data-driven solutions that optimize our global supply chain performance.
ANALYTICS & REPORTING
- Design and maintain executive dashboards tracking KPIs across 200+ manufacturing plants, including inventory DOH, on-time delivery, material flow efficiency, and logistics spend.
- Put governance frameworks in place for orchestration of Supply Chain Data initiatives across the organization (Data lakes, AI Agents, data integrity, etc).
- Build predictive models supporting demand planning, capacity optimization, and supply network design decisions.
- Partner with IT teams to enhance the Supply Chain Data Platform (AWS-based Bronze/Silver/Gold architecture) and ensure data integrity across global operations.
SUPPLY CHAIN OPTIMIZATION
- Support PFEP (Plan for Every Part) tool and analysis, translating inventory optimization opportunities into actionable plant-level recommendations.
- Develop business cases and ROI models for supply chain technology investments and process improvements.
- Gain exposure to many different facets and functions of the organization.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, operations analysis, or related data-intensive role, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
- Experience in manufacturing or the automotive industry is strongly preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, VBA/macros, statistical functions).
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, PLEX, QAD), planning parameters, master data, including data extraction and reporting.
- SQL skills for database queries and data manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms or similar data infrastructure (preferred).
- Understanding of statistical analysis and regression modeling (preferred).
- Experience with advanced planning solutions, like o9, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or similar, a plus.
- Ability to get things done and drive projects.
SUPPLY CHAIN KNOWLEDGE
- Strong understanding of supply chain fundamentals: inventory management, demand/supply planning, logistics, material flow, information flow, and KPI calculations.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of MRP logic and supply planning processes.
- Knowledge of automotive supply chain complexity and OEM requirements (preferred).

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex technical analyses into clear business insights for non-technical audiences.
- Strong communication skills with experience (or want to gain experience) in presenting to senior leadership.

- Collaborative mindset with ability to build relationships across cultures and geographies.

- You have or want experience working with global, multi-site manufacturing networks.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable cost savings or process improvements through analytics.
- You have exposure to advanced planning systems (o9 Solutions, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, etc.)
- Programming skills in Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement certification.
- You aren’t afraid of confrontation; you enjoy complex challenges and aren’t afraid to ask questions.

LOCATION & TRAVEL
This position may be based at our corporate headquarters in Northville, MI. The role requires periodic travel (30%) to manufacturing plants for on-site analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project support. This is completely ad hoc.
