We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst that is a high performing leader with experience driving sustainable impact in the automotive or industrial sector. The ideal candidate either has consulting experience at the analyst level or prior experience driving financial transformations. The individual will have responsibility for driving our strategic agenda within the Finance organization.

 

This is an opportunity to grow as part of a high-visibility team, that works closely with Business Unit General Managers, CFOs, and Tenneco’s executive leadership and corporate finance and strategy teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business analytics: develop and build models in collaboration with Tenneco Corporate Finance and business unit teams to identify productivity, profitability and growth opportunities across Tenneco’s business
  • Strategic modeling: building, reviewing and reporting on models to support the following topics
  • Financial performance and optimization
  • Market growth and segmentation
  • Operational productivity, performance and cost structure
  • Production network footprint
  • Reporting: support the development of regular leadership briefings in collaboration with Finance Strategy and business unit leadership teams
  • Transaction support: work with Tenneco executive leadership and corporate strategy teams to conduct financial and operational performance analysis during M&A transactions
  • Performance Improvement: Support initiatives to improve financial performance, including cost reduction and margin improvement programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering (with demonstrated financial experience) or a related field.
  • 2 years+ of experience in consulting or strategic finance roles
  • Strong technical proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting
  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and innovate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to present complex information to senior management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CFA or CPA are a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within the automotive or industrial sector
