Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated finance and treasury professional to join the Tenneco finance team as Senior Manager of Global Capital Markets. This individual will be responsible for supporting the capital markets activities and Tenneco’s capital markets strategy in markets around the world, including debt and equity financing, optimizing capital structure, and managing liquidity. The Sr Manager of Global Capital Markets will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial strategy and ensuring long-term financial stability, collaborating closely with senior leadership at the corporate level and within Tenneco’s operating businesses to support growth and deliver shareholder value. Position reports to the Assistant Treasurer, Capital Markets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support and manage the company’s global capital markets activities, including debt issuance and refinancings, project finance, sale-leaseback transactions, factoring and supply chain finance programs, development and optimization of equity transactions, and financial instrument management.
  • Monitor and analyze market conditions, interest rates, and other economic factors to inform financing decisions.
  • Assist in developing strategies to optimize the company’s capital structure, manage risk, and minimize financing costs.
  • Maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions and ratings agencies.
  • Support M&A activity related to treasury functions and manage treasury integration with business units.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations related to capital markets transactions and corporate governance.
  • Lead financial assurances activities including bank and Tenneco guarantees, letters of credit etc.
  • Support business units with capital market solutions to managing liquidity levels and strengthen overall financial position.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate capital planning with the broader corporate financial strategy, including assessing the impact of capital decisions on financial performance and risk.
  • Support treasurer in the Pension and 401K investment activities.

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in finance or engineering from an accredited university required. MBA or related advanced degree/certification such as CFA is highly desired.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in capital markets and project finance in a corporate or banking environment with global exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, project financing, factoring and supply chain finance, debt and equity financing.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives, investors, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to recognize improvement opportunities and execute.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
