We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Senior Manager, Commercial & Operations Analytics to support Finance and Operations leadership within our global automotive business. This role will drive insights that enhance decision-making across commercial performance, operations, and manufacturing by leveraging advanced analytics, KPI tracking, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate brings strong ability to transform complex data into actionable intelligence. This position will serve as a key business partner to both Finance and Operations, ensuring alignment of commercial performance metrics with operational execution. The position may be based in Northville, MI but has the option to be remote and reports directly to the Executive Director, Commercial & Manufacturing Finance of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analytics & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards that consolidate and visualize financial, operational, and commercial KPIs.
- Track key metrics across revenue, margin, pricing, volumes, and operational efficiency to support weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews.
- Lead weekly EDI analysis to monitor customer demand signals, order patterns, and supply chain dynamics.
- Business Partnering
- Support the Executive Director of Commercial & Manufacturing Finance and cross-functional teams with timely and accurate analytics.
- Track key metrics across revenue, margin, pricing, volumes, and operational efficiency to support weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews
- Partner with Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive alignment of commercial strategies with manufacturing execution.
- Provide forward-looking insights into risks, opportunities, and performance trends
- Process Improvement
- Standardize KPI definitions, reporting cadence, and governance across regions and business lines.
- Identify gaps in data accuracy or process efficiency and propose system/process improvements.
- Act as a subject matter expert in applying advanced analytics to improve forecasting, demand planning, and operational performance.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in commercial finance, operations analytics roles
Skills
- Strong SQL expertise with proven ability to extract and manage data from heterogeneous systems to support analytics and reporting
- Strong technical expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling) and Excel; familiarity with ERP/EDI systems required.
- Proven ability to design KPI frameworks and deliver executive-level reporting.
- Excellent business acumen, with strong understanding of financial statements, operational metrics, and manufacturing drivers.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at all levels.
- Highly detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
