We’re searching for a highly skilled and experienced leader to drive automation, RPA, generative AI/ChatGPT/ML initiatives for our Finance operations. This role will be instrumental in leading transformation projects, streamlining finance operations, and driving efficiency through implementation of cutting-edge automation and AI solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise, functional understanding of Finance operations, and a collaborative approach to delivering solutions that support our evolving needs.
The role will report to the VP, Corporate Functions and will champion the adoption technical strategy solution roadmap including solutions for Corporate and Shared Services functions. This will include defining a digital roadmap, standardizing core processes and services driving efficiency, accuracy, and agility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategy and Leadership
- Partner with Finance leaders in process mining to identify opportunities for automation and AI/ML to optimize finance processes, reduce cost and enhance productivity.
- Develop and lead a comprehensive automation, RPA, and AI/ML strategy for Finance.
- Serve as thought leader on emerging trends in automation, AI/ML within the Finance domain.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Solution Development & Implementation
- Oversee end to end development of automation solutions from requirements gathering and design to implementation and scaling.
- Lead the deployment of RPA tools to automate repetitive finance processes, ensuring accuracy and speed.
- Develop machine learning models to support finance analytics, forecasting, and risk assessment, leveraging predictive insights for strategic decision making.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with cross functional teams including Finance, Enterprise Architecture, Data and Security to deliver impactful solutions.
- Act as a liaison between Finance and Enterprise Architecture teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
- Champion change management strategies to drive adoption of new solutions within the Finance function.
- Operational Excellence & Optimization
- Establish KPI’s and metrics to measure the impact and success of automation and AI/ML initiatives.
- Continuously optimize deployed solutions by leveraging user feedback and data driven insights.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for data governance best practices in all automation and AI/ML solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in IT automation, RPA or AI/ML with a focus on finance technology.
- Proven experience leading large-scale automation and AI/ML initiatives.
- Expert proficiency with cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, Azure)
- Expert proficiency with automation tools (i.e. UiPath, Automation Anywhere).
- Expert proficiency with machine learning platforms.
- Expert proficiency with AI tools (i.e. ChatGPT, MSFT Co-Pilot)
- Excellent understanding finance technology including ERP (SAP and non-SAP), OneStream.
- Strong understanding of finance operations, processes, and key challenges.
- Strong project management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of, and hands on experience with, digital transformation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. industry specific topics (e.g., employee services, recruitment, compensation, skill development) preferred.
- Strong process and domain architecture skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with visual modeling tool.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies preferred
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
