In this position, you will be instrumental in telling the Tenneco story, driving employee engagement, and amplifying Team Tenneco’s achievements across all channels. You’ll be part of a team that will take our communications strategy to the next level at an unparalleled pace. The position may be based in Northville, Michigan and reports directly to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications of the company.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the charge in developing and executing a dynamic social media strategy that aligns with Tenneco’s corporate communications goals, highlighting our brand, leadership and accomplishments
  • Collaborate with key functions to create compelling content that tells the Team Tenneco journey across multiple platforms and mediums
  • Lead and/or support events, including town halls and leadership meetings
  • Develop and deliver communication plans and campaigns, inclusive of internal and external channels, that inform, engage and guide employees and stakeholders
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration
  • Continuously analyze and report on communication effectiveness, driving constant improvement and innovation

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Education:  A bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, marketing or related field

  • Proven experience within a global organization, supporting significant organizational priorities and change through strategic communication initiatives
  • An obsession with social media strategy and execution
  • Able to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with autonomy
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and ability to create clear, concise and impactful messages
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, with a knack for influencing and engaging stakeholders
  • Skilled in utilizing communication tools and platforms, including social media, CMS and analytics software
