ABOUT THE ROLE

The Tenneco intern program provides a unique opportunity for students to learn, work, and contribute to an industry leading environment. In addition to being assigned real projects that deliver results, students also participate in networking events and personal development training, among other activities.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with collecting, organizing, and maintaining purchasing and supplier data
  • Support purchase order tracking, pricing updates, and supplier documentation
  • Analyze data related to spend, supplier performance, and cost trends
  • Assist with sourcing activities, RFQs, and supplier communications
  • Support process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Complete ad‑hoc projects and administrative tasks as assigned
  • Assist in Roadmap Development and Management of P3 Procurement Maturity Matrix

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Student currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business or Supply Chain from an accredited institution
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team-based environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
