Summary:

This role, Operations Program Director, supports the Office of Strategic Execution (OSE) and operations by managing major transformation programs including site consolidations and closures.  Absolute discretion will be required while interfacing with human resources for ramp up, ramp down planning.   This role will be responsible for all aspects of the program, set deadlines for the team, monitor progress, and report status.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Manages the financials of the projects/programs. Assumes the responsibility, authority and accountability for delivery to the documented project scope and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
  • Champions cross functional engagement in the program and across the business.
  • Facilitates the implementation of program management processes and standard work.
  • Actively engages the functional core team members assigned to the program/project.  Direct and or functional reporting may be required.
  • Establishes clear objectives and goals and provides direction to the program and project team.
  • Utilizes change management processes and procedures.
  • Acts as a business interface with the customer (internal and/or external).  Ensures organization responsiveness to meet expectations/requirements.
  • Ensures adequate support of the program by coordinating reviews, preparing and publishing metrics and reports.
  • Creates a comprehensive plan taking into account risks, requirements, lessons learned, etc.  Uses formal risk management and mitigation processes.
  • Provides updates to all levels of stakeholders.  Utilizes formal stakeholder communication methodologies to keep the business abreast of issues relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas.
  • Seeks team input to promote rapid resolution to issues.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be fluent in English and able to communicate clearly/effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Solid computer skills with thorough knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with, or the ability to learn, Power BI
  • Demonstrated background in data analysis and interpretation
  • Knowledge and experience in Project Management methodologies
  • The ability to travel to meet with colleagues/leadership

KEY INTERFACES:

  • Internal: PMO, Product Management, Finance, Engineering & Development, Operations and Leaders/counterparts in other business lines.
  • External: anticipated to be limited, but there may be occasions where interactions with customers and/or suppliers.

 

EDUCATION:

Requires a bachelor's degree and experience in the field or in a related area.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum/Essential: 5  years of experience in product management, supply chain, finance, project management, purchasing or a similar role that depends heavily on analytics, problem solving skills and understanding of operations and supply chain
  • Desirable: familiarity with the company’s products and systems.
