ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager, Strategic Commercial Finance plays a critical role in driving Tenneco’s commercial analytics, revenue performance management, and strategic growth initiatives. This role is responsible for analyzing top-line revenue performance, benchmarking results against external market data sources (e.g., IHS / S&P Global automotive production data), supporting revenue forecasting and strategic growth planning.

 

Working closely with the Senior Director, Commercial Finance and cross-functional commercial, strategy, and finance teams, this position will deliver data-driven insights that help guide commercial strategy, identify growth opportunities, and support both organic and inorganic expansion initiatives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead analysis and reporting of top-line revenue performance, including customer, program, platform, and regional performance trends.
  • Compare internal revenue results against external market benchmarks (e.g., IHS / S&P Global production forecasts) to evaluate market share, customer performance, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop analytical frameworks and reporting tools that track revenue growth drivers, market trends, and OEM production dynamics.
  • Own data consolidation and analysis for monthly revenue reporting process, including scenario modeling
  • Provide commercial insights to support strategic planning and growth initiatives.
  • Partner with commercial and strategy teams to analyze customer performance, win rates, and growth opportunities.
  • Drive strategic organic growth initiatives including portfolio expansion and market share opportunities.
  • Evaluate inorganic growth opportunities including acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments.
  • Prepare of executive-level reporting and presentations summarizing revenue performance and market insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Strategy, Sales, and Business Unit leaders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial finance, corporate finance, strategy, or management consulting strongly preferred
  • Experience in automotive, mobility, or industrial manufacturing sectors
  • Experience working with automotive industry market datasets such as IHS / S&P Global preferred
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities
  • Experience analyzing market share, production volumes, and revenue growth drivers
  • Ability to translate complex datasets into clear insights for senior leadership
  • Knowledge of automotive industry market dynamics and OEM production cycles
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
