Job Title: IT/MES Project Manager

Location: Remote (with Regional Travel)

Solutions, Clean Air and Powertrain business groups, Tenneco is driving advancements in

global mobility by delivering technology solutions for light vehicle, commercial truck, offhighway, industrial, motorsport and the aftermarket.

 

This position will lead highly visible cross-functional initiatives, drive process improvements, and ensure delivery excellence within the company’s Digital Business Transformation journey. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IT project and operations management, with exposure to Agile and Waterfall methodologies. A background in manufacturing or industrial operations is a plus but not required. The position may be remote (with regional travel) and reports directly to the Snr. Director, MES & Smart Manufacturing Systems of the company.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead medium to large-scale IT/MES projects, overseeing Plant Operations, Technical, and Local and Enterprise IT teams, successfully establishing the framework to manage the scope of work, timeline, cost, and resources allocated to the project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and business stakeholders to define requirements and track progress.
  • Apply hybrid Waterfall and/or Agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) methodologies to drive execution and maintain project governance.
  • Facilitate change management activities, project charters, RFPs, and acceptance documentation.
  • Oversee reporting, forecasting, and financial tracking of assigned projects.
  • Conduct risk management, identify dependencies, and ensure compliance with audit and operational standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners to align deliverables with business needs.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, IT, or related field.

Experience: 5+ years of project management and operations leadership experience.

Skills

  • Proven experience managing IT, operations, or cross-functional projects.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence).
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL, Agile, and SDLC frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with manufacturing or industrial environments (preferred).
